Sunroom fire hose

As a professional manufacturer of fire-fighting equipment, Forede focuses on the R&D and production of high-quality fire hoses that comply with the latest national standard GB 6246-2026, while meeting different global fire protection requirements. A fire hose consists of two parts: the outer jacket (woven layer) and the inner lining. Forede fire hoses are classified based on differences in jacket and lining materials, and different combinations can be used to meet various performance requirements. Based on the core classification criteria, this article introduces Forede fire hoses in detail, focusing on product characteristics, technical capability, and application scenarios.

fire hose Definition & Core Value

1.1 Jacket (Weaving Layer)

The jacket is the outer woven layer of the fire hose, responsible for pressure bearing, protecting the inner lining, and providing overall structural strength. Forede uses high-quality weaving materials and advanced manufacturing technology to ensure durability and stable performance of the jacket.

Forede fire hose jackets are available in four standard types:

White jacket:
The most common basic type, offering good visibility of water flow. It is widely used in general fire protection applications.

Red jacket:
High-visibility design for easy identification in complex environments such as fire scenes. It is suitable for public areas and professional fire rescue applications.

Double-layer jacket:
Made with a double-layer high-density woven structure, providing higher tensile strength and abrasion resistance compared with single-layer jackets. It is suitable for high-intensity fire protection and rescue operations.

Coated jacket (double-sided adhesive hose):
The surface is coated with a special adhesive layer, improving water resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. It is suitable for harsh environments such as chemical plants and outdoor installations.

1.2 Lining

The lining is the inner layer of the fire hose, directly in contact with the firefighting medium (water, foam, etc.). Its main function is to ensure sealing performance and prevent leakage during operation.

Forede selects high-performance lining materials to meet different application environments and media requirements. Fire hose linings are commonly divided into four types:

PVC lining:
Cost-effective with good water resistance and corrosion resistance. Suitable for general fire protection and industrial applications.

PU lining:
Lightweight and flexible with good low-temperature resistance and wear resistance. Suitable for cold environments and frequent deployment scenarios.

TPU lining:
High strength with excellent elasticity, oil resistance, chemical resistance, and aging resistance. Suitable for complex industrial and professional fire rescue applications.

Rubber lining (NBR / EPDM / TPR):
Offers strong high-temperature resistance, pressure resistance, and sealing performance. Suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature, and harsh working conditions.

Types of fire hose

How to Classify Fire Hoses

Fire Hoses Classified by Structure Type

Forede fire hoses are divided into single-jacket and double-jacket types.

The single-jacket series is lightweight and easy to handle, available with white or red jackets combined with PVC or PU lining. It is suitable for general fire protection in residential buildings and light industrial applications.

The double-jacket series provides higher tensile strength and improved durability. It is available with red or coated jackets combined with rubber lining, making it suitable for high-intensity fire rescue and harsh working environments used by professional fire teams.

Fire Hoses Classified by Pressure Grade

Forede fire hoses are classified into three pressure levels.

Low-pressure hoses (0.3–1.3MPa) are lightweight and cost-effective, suitable for general fire protection applications.

Medium-pressure hoses (1.6–2.5MPa) feature reinforced weaving for improved pressure resistance, suitable for standard firefighting and rescue operations.

High-pressure hoses (≥3.0MPa) adopt an anti-twist structure and are designed for demanding conditions such as high-rise firefighting and long-distance water supply.

Fire Hoses Classified by Application & British Standard

Forede fire hoses are manufactured in accordance with British standards and are classified into three types:

TYPE 1 (white jacket): for general fire protection applications
TYPE 2 (red jacket): for public and emergency response environments
TYPE 3 (coated jacket): for harsh industrial and outdoor conditions

They are widely used across three main application areas:

Professional firefighting rescue for complex fire scenarios, building fire protection systems for fixed installations, and large-flow water supply for long-distance operations.
